It can be all it takes to take your team to the next level.   Why should you take the time to talk to your team and ask them questions? Long story short, it shows you care. Asking about their [experiences](https://www.gallup.com/workplace/242252/employee-experience.aspx#:~:text=The%20employee%20experience%20is%20the,%2C%20workspace%2C%20manager%20and%20wellbeing.) can foster a positive culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration.  By asking thoughtful questions, you show that you actually care about what they’re feeling and what they are dealing with. Plus, you’ll simultaneously gain insight that will help you improve your team’s productivity, morale, and success.  Here are some questions you can start asking employees in your 1-on-1s or when you check in with them.  ## **10 Questions to Ask Your Team:** ### ***1. What are some qualities or must-haves we need to enrich/enhance our team’s current culture?*** ### ***2. Do any of our processes seem inefficient to you? How can we fix them?*** ### ***3. What do you need help with?*** ### ***4.  Is there anything in your work world that’s causing frustration or delays?*** ### ***5. Do you feel your role and what you should be working on is clear? If not, what aspects aren’t clear?*** ### ***6. Looking back on the week, is there anything that could have gone better?*** ### ***7. What is the most enjoyable part of your job?*** ### ***8. When do you have the most fun at work?*** ### ***9. Was there a recent team discussion or meeting where you did not get to share your thoughts? Would you like to share them now?*** ### ***10. What would you like to do more of?*** Whether you start asking your team all ten questions or just a few, asking questions like these can really help you and your team. It shows you care about your employees’ thoughts and experiences, which builds trust and teamwork.
