Did you know that globally, 90% of employees report that financial worries directly impact their focus at work? Financial stress has always been a thing, but in 2026, it’s time to alleviate this as much as possible.
Waiting for the end of the month to get your salary can be tough, especially when life throws an unexpected bill your way. At ZenHR, we believe that if you’ve worked the days, you’ve earned the pay.
That’s why we are excited to introduce Earned Wage Access (ZenEWA), a new feature designed specifically for companies and employees in Saudi Arabia.
Earned Wage Access (EWA), often called "On-Demand Pay," is a financial tool that allows employees to withdraw a portion of their salary that they have already earned, but have not yet been paid.
Think of ZenEWA as "On-Demand Pay." Usually, you work for 30 days and get paid once at the end. With ZenEWA, you don't have to wait. If you have worked 10 days, you can "unlock" a portion of the money you earned for those 10 days instantly.
Unlike a traditional "salary advance", which is often a loan against future work, ZenEWA is based on days already worked. If an employee has worked 15 days of the month, they can instantly request a percentage of the pay for those 15 days through the ZenHR website & mobile app.
It isn't a loan; it’s just your own money, accessed early.
Financial emergencies don't wait for the end of the month. Whether it’s an unexpected medical bill, a car repair, or a family commitment, the gap between paydays can lead to high-stress situations.
Traditional salary advances involve manual forms, multiple emails, bank coordination, and manual payroll adjustments. ZenEWA removes the manual aspect from all of this so HR can focus on the Human part of human resources.
In the competitive Saudi labor market, attracting and retaining top talent requires more than just a competitive base salary. People are now looking for employers who prioritize their mental and financial health.
